Minx S/S 2013 with an effortless and feminine collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin

What makes a collection special? Fabrics, textures, colors or details like drapes are important, but don´t play the most important role. No. It is more a feeling which is created by the designs. I quite often see a fashion show and the models don't smile. At a Minx show it is completely different. Smiling models who really seem to have fun and love to wear and to present the pieces. It is a fresh feeling that is transported to the audience and carried me along, even though I had to stand after a seating chaos right before the show. Ready to wear pieces as well as red carpet dresses were shown. It is the easiness of the looks in combination with feminine details like pleats, back décolleté, crepe or lace that turns this collection into something special. A blazer combined with jersey jogging pants looks sportive and is the perfect outfit when it´s hot outside. A masculine biker jacket gets combined with a feminine pleated skirt or an effortless jersey dress with a waistbelt. Clean cuts as well as feminine fabrics underline the easiness of the design. Colorful contrasting dresses are must-haves and belong to every Minx fashion show. My favorite of the collection was a gown in red lace with décolletage at the back.

Was macht eine Kollektion zu etwas Besonderem? Stoffe, Texturen, Farben oder Details wie Drapierungen sind wichtig, aber spielen dennoch oftmals nicht die Hauptrolle. Vielmehr ist es das Gefühl, das eine Kollektion und dessen Designs in mir hervorrufen. Oftmals sehe ich mir eine Show an und keines der Models lächelt. Dies ist bei einer Minx Show ganz und gar nicht der Fall. Lächelnde Models, denen man den Spaß am Tragen der Outfits ansieht, sind das typische Bild auf dem Catwalk. Dieses Gefühl der Freude und der Lust am Tragen überträgt sich ebenfalls aufs Publikum und riss mich mit, obwohl ich nach anfänglichem Sitzplatzchaos in der zweiten Reihe stehen musste. Wie immer wurden sowohl Ready to Wear Stücke als auch Red Carpet Kleider gezeigt. Es ist die Leichtigkeit der Looks in Kombination mit femininen Details wie Spitze, Seide, Plissee, Rücken-Dekolleté und Crepe der diese Kollektion zu etwas Besonderem macht. Kombinationen wie ein Blazer mit einer sportlichen Jogginghose aus Jersey sind das perfekte Outfit für die heißen Tage draußen. Eine maskuline Bikerjacke verschmilzt gekonnt mit einem weiblichen Plissee-Rock zu einem sich kontrastierenden Look. Leichtigkeit versprühen einfache Stücke wie ein Jerseykleid, das durch den Einsatz eines Taillengürtels die weibliche Silhouette noch unterstreicht und Lust auf den Sommer macht. Klare Schnitte und weibliche Stoffe unterstreichen die Lässigkeit der Kollektion. Farblich abgesetzte Kleider sind ein Muss der Saison und dürfen in keiner Minx Kollektion fehlen. Mein Favorit war ein Kleid aus roter Relief-Spitze mit atemberaubendem Rücken-Dekolleté.
